So they take the kids skating.

Once every three weeks they walk over to the arena and all these kids whip around on the ice have way too much fun. They ask for any parents who are brave enough to come along and help supervise. Last time I fell once and Ben fell lots. He clung to the boards and was very disappointed that he was not an expect skater after an hour. This week he fell much less and went around holding onto a pylon. All in all he's making great progress!

GRADUATION!!!!

Back in my day this wasn't a milestone we celebrated.
It was almost too much cute. The best part was when each of the children said what the wanted to be when they grow up. Here are my top three:
"When I grow up I want to be a rock star!"
"When I grow up I want to be a cashier!"
"When I grow up I want to be a paleontologist!" (sp? My son wants to be it and I can't even spell it lol)
Also, the parents and their mad picture taking rush really put me in mind of the paparazzi Especially when the principal had to come out and tell us all to sit down and we could take pictures at the end.....

Successful first month of SK

Despite his Mum being injured and all the stress that comes with moving (for the first time that he will remember) Benjamin apparently had a great first month as evidenced by the award he won.

Halloween Dance-A-Thon

Thanks to everyone who donated to Ben's school's Halloween fund raiser! Ben went dressed as Elroy in the costume I made for him (See the shoes?!!) The school went all out with decorations, and even hired a professional DJ. It was tons of fun for everyone. Nothing better than seeing so many kids so happy.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!

Ben went to school yesterday!
It was only for half the normal time to see if he would need any extra help adjusting, and since he doesn't he will be starting next Monday (September 14th) for the full 2 and a half hours.
Ben's thoughts and comments on his first day?

"I didn't really learn anything."
"We sang a song about Canada."
"There were two toy telephones. One did not have any buttons."
"The teacher did not read us any books even thought they have a lot of book there. I saw them."
"One little boy wouldn't even talk at all, he just cried. It was very annoying."
